Leaving the hustle and bustle of Auckland, just a short 30 minutes ferry ride away, lies Waiheke Island, a little gem with serene bays, vineyards and majestic views - exactly what we were looking for after our days of sightseeing. Mama and Papa chose an airbnb up on a hill with priceless a view over the bay and for the next few days we just wanted to relax, eat and sit by the ocean.

Who is not familiar with Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Saga? I remember going to the movies for a special that played Lord of the Rings 1,2 & 3 when I was a teenager, a time way before online streaming and netflix and chill. We went to "the Shire" and visited the original Hobbiton Movie Set.
